"War....huh....good God y'all what is it good for? Absolutely nothin'...."

Great song isn't it? My favorite version is when Jackie Chan sang it in Rush Hour with Chris Tucker...but that isn't the point of this podcast.

What do you think about when you think about the war? Death, dying, innocent people being killed? Oil? Michael Moore & George W?

Where's God in all this? How does Jesus fit?

What if I said that many of these soldiers are "just like Jesus"? What would you say to that?

My name is Mat Koenig and I am seeking others who value truth.
I struggle with life, faith and religion and I don't think that I'm the only one.

I think that we are supposed to live our lives in community with others so I am trying to create a place that isn't about religion. It is my dream to create, with others, a place where transparent, honest, and meaningful relationships are formed. I want to help bring together a community of people who desire a life where it is safe to be honest about who you are, without worrying who will judge you.

Wouldn't it be nice to share life with a group of others where you really love and caring for each other, no matter what your differences are? Wouldn't it be nice to know that if you are hurting, there's a waiting shoulder to cry on?

For me, and many others, church has not been this place... but I ask the "church":why is that?

From what I understand, Jesus said that he came so people could have a better life.

I want to experience that kind of life and I want to experience it with friends; new and old.

I am seeking truth, happiness and love and I am inviting you to be part of starting this online community known as The Gathering.
